The Slackers

I know many of you have been hounding me about a vinyl version of Self Medication and for months I've been saying its coming. Well it really is coming! As of February 18th a 12" vinyl of Self Medication will be available at our fave web outlets Stubbornrecords.com and Interpunk.com, so please drop by those sites and check it out. I have an advance copy and think it sounds great. Of course I'm one of those vinyl fans who think everything sounds better on vinyl. Records just sound more alive, more real, and that helps make the listening experience more complete.

Thats right loyal Slackers fans, we finally have a DVD of a live show. I know its only been 100 years and ten thousand people have filmed us,but...we uh...and then uh...OK no excuse is good enough for Slackers fans; however this DVD is! Just to specify, the Valentines day Show at the Luna Lounge in Brooklyn is on Friday Feb 15th. Romance will be in the air ( as well as cold) and great fun will be had by all. I am told that the Luna Lounge is quite sizable and there are still plenty of tickets left, so all you who complained to me that you couldn't get in to the Bowery Ballroom Holiday show or on the Booze Cruise, this is your big chance! PS Anyone with requests should post them here.

Yes folks it is with much joy that we anticipate this upcoming Valentines Day show at the Luna Lounge in lovely Williamsburgh Brooklyn. I used to live just down the street from this place for over 10 years (as did 2/3 rds of the band), so personally I am thrilled to be playing the old "hood." Plus its really easy to get to by car or subway. So I hear you wondering "What have the Slackers got planned for Valentines Day?". We are polishing up some old classics that we haven't been performing all that often and perfecting new ones that we will be debuting that night.

Yes Ladies and Gents it is once again time for another Slackers Holiday Show Spectacular. This time around we will be hosting the event at the lovely Bowery Ballroom in NYC on Dec. 22nd and please get your tickets early, because once word gets out about this show, people are gonna come running and tickets will not last Believe it or not; this year we are lucky enough to have the incomparable Steve Jackson singer extrordinaire from the Pietaster fame joining us onstage for who knows what kind of shenanigans. And speaking of fame: we topped all expectations and somehow got Alex Desert the golden throat of Hepcat and star of Stage and Screen to grace our little party with his amazing vocal feats.
