Self Medication

After the seventeenth time listening to the new cuts all the way through, I'm starting to get it. Outside influences at L.A.'s El Rey show last Saturday sums it up! The new album, a little bit of Vic solo, a little bit of Dave's Rocksteady 7 and everyone else plays an intregal part of the creation. I was glad to see that everyone had written a tune...I enjoyed all of them!!

Wow.

I'm using this as my personal plea to not stop recording. This record is just fantastic and has me very excited about your evolution as a band.

With The Boss Harmony Sessions you certainly whetted our appetite, but I really didn't expect a record with the depth in lyrics and musicianship on Self Medication.

There is a lot going on in this album and makes repeated listening very satisfying. Despite some of your critics out there slamming the cover of Stars, I thought it was a nice display of what you guys are capable of musically.

Don't You Want a Man is a song that I really can't stop listening to, and Pine is really flexing his pipes.

Can't wait to see you guys live...again.

Congrats guys. Nice work.

Stars is a cover?

Stars is a cover?

no, it isn't. Vic wrote it.

no, it isn't. Vic wrote it.

It's ehr..... something different

Different production (at least, that's what I hear), different attitude, bit gloomy. Inspiration seems to come from sources like The Specials, The Beatles and even Elvis(!) to name a few.
To be honest, it took me a while to get into this one, but right now I'm enjoying it hugely!

I dig it, although the intro

I dig it, although the intro sounds like something from Napoleon Dynamite.

Same here

Well, I enjoyed most of the disc on my first listen, but there were a couple songs that I didn't really feel. Especially "Walking with Myself". At first I didn't really like this song, but after I realized what a unique and eerie sound it has, it became one of my favorite songs on the disc.
