Slackfest III - Recording

Great setlist. I've seen a few of the Xmas shows and it seems they save the best for their hometown fans. I saw the one where they played Redlight from A-Z.

Anyone have a recording of Slackfest at Irving Plaza?

I've never heard them play Boogaloo. I assume that's the classic ska track (prince buster?) that Dr. Ring Ding covered a few years ago.

boogalo

vic prefaced the song with some rambling about the puerto rico day parade, and something about the boogaloo being a great puerto rican contribution to society or something? i dont remember exactly, it was almost a week ago already.

i believe the song they played in the middle of no love was basically the "mary mary" part of fried chicken/mary mary. so perhaps the setlist should read no love > mary mary > no love, though they did introduce the song as "boogaloo"

i too would love a recording of this show if anyone's got one! they do tend to play great shows in nyc. i drive up from philly for slackers shows as much as possible (caught the last three - holiday show, brooklyn show, slackfest). hope there's a boat show this year!
